The rain has arrived in Havana, Cuba, and I can't contain my joy!
This city, has witnessed an unusual phenomenon in the month of May, the absence of rain. For weeks, sweltering heat gripped the city, leaving its inhabitants longing for the relief that only rain can bring. However, the wait came to an end a few days ago, at the beginning of June, the gray clouds finally gathered over the Cuban capital and the rain began to fall.

Esta ciudad, ha sido testigo de un fenómeno inusual en el mes de mayo, la ausencia de lluvias. Durante semanas, el calor sofocante se adueñó de la ciudad, dejando a sus habitantes anhelando el alivio que solo la lluvia puede brindar. Sin embargo, la espera llegó a su fin hace unos días, al iniciar el mes de junio, finalmente las nubes grises se congregaron sobre la capital cubana y la lluvia comenzó a caer.
I feared that the lack of rain might deprive us of the vibrant colors that have always graced our streets at this time of year. However, nature has pleasantly surprised us. Despite the inclement heat and lack of rain, the flowers have defied the circumstances and have presented themselves in all their splendor. The gardens I have had the opportunity to visit are bursting with life and color, as you can see in the photographs I am showing you. It seems that a touch of a magic wand has swept over Havana, painting it with vivid and radiant colors.
Temí que la falta de lluvia nos privara de los vibrantes colores que siempre han adornado nuestras calles en esta época del año. Sin embargo, la naturaleza nos ha sorprendido gratamente. A pesar del calor inclemente y la falta de lluvia, las flores han desafiado las circunstancias y se han presentado en todo su esplendor. Los jardines que he tenido la oportunidad de visitar están rebosantes de vida y color, como podrán apreciar en las fotografías que les muestro. Parece que un toque de varita mágica ha recorrido La Habana, pintándola con colores vivos y radiantes.
As I strolled through the nooks and crannies of my neighborhood, I came across a fascinating sight. The oak trees were covered with their dense pink flowers that created a carpet of soft tones around them. Meanwhile, other species such as flamboyants, bugambilias, among others, joined the display of life, filling the air with their fragrance and painting the cityscapes with vivid colors. This year, despite the absence of rain, I felt these colors more vivid.
Mientras paseaba por los recovecos de mi barrio, me encontré con un espectáculo fascinante. Los robles estaban cubiertos de sus densas flores rosas que creaban una alfombra de tonos suaves a su alrededor. Mientras tanto, otras especies como flamboyanes, bugambilias, entre otras, se unían al despliegue de vida, llenando el aire con su fragancia y pintando los paisajes urbanos con vivos colores. Este año a pesar de la ausencia de la lluvia senti estos colores mas vivos.
