This post is for the #wednesdaywalk challenge and the #makemesmile challenge collaboration. This collaboration initially took place once a month, but due to its popularity, @tattoodjay (of the #wednesdaywalk) and @elizacheng (of #makemesmile) decided to make it a weekly thing.
If you want to know more about the rules, visit this week's post by @tattoodjay where you will find all the rules at the bottom of his post after you've enjoyed his beautiful photos from his walk.
Over the last few weeks, we didn't get out much for our normal walks and adventures. We normally prefer staying off the roads during this time of year. Most of the beaches are now crowded with holidaymakers.
We spent as much time as possible with the kids, having some quality family time!
For today's post, I decided to share some photos of a walk at Brighton Beach earlier this year. I have shared some photos of this area before, so you might have seen some of the photos, but I will try to add some photos today that I haven't shared before.
On the northern part of Brighton Beach is a beautiful sandstone rock, known as the "Cave Rock Monument".
A closer look at the Cave Rock Monument.
Standing next to the rock, in the shade of a hollow area, looking out over the ocean.
Just below the rock, is a rocky area that comes out onto the beach, forming a rocky surface area where the waves come out on the beach...
Taking a closer look...
As you can see in the next photo, it is not high, pointy rocks sticking out above the surface of the water. It is just a rocky surface.
My wife, enjoying a relaxing stroll along this area...
You find lovely little pools forming along this area.
As you can see in the next photo, we found some marine life in some of these pools as well...
The "fun park" wasn't in use during our visit.
The next (and last) photo, I know I have shared before, but I just have to share it again seeing that we are in the middle of the holiday season. And I think this photo has "holiday" written all over it as I captured this couple relaxing on the beach.
And that's all for today, folks.
Thank you for reading my post! I do appreciate it!
