This post is for the #wednesdaywalk challenge and the #makemesmile challenge collaboration. This collaboration initially took place once a month, but due to its popularity, @tattoodjay (of the #wednesdaywalk) and @elizacheng (of #makemesmile) decided to make it a weekly thing.
If you want to know more about the rules, visit this week's post by @tattoodjay where you will find all the rules at the bottom of his post after you've enjoyed his beautiful photos from his walk.
We weren't able to go out for a walk as usual last weekend. But, I will share some photos I haven't shared before from a recent walk.
We went to Bluff, located in Durban South, on the East coast of South Africa.
On this specific day, I took a detour on our way to Brighton Beach in Bluff, making a stop at a lookout point in Bluff.
Turning down a side road toward the lookout point, I pulled over to take the first photo of the view from here.
Being at a nice height, you have some beautiful views from here...
I was just disappointed that there were no decent parking spaces. I would have thought that with such beautiful views from this lookout point, and access to the beach, they would have made better provision for parking.
In my next photo, you can see the stairway leading down to the beach, but I didn't feel comfortable leaving our car there as I am not all that familiar with the area yet. We were all alone and it was quite a way down to the beach. That meant that while we would be on the beach, I would have no idea about what was happening up here at the car.
From the lookout point, we went to Brighton Beach.
Looking out over Brighton Beach...
Brighton Beach has a tidal pool and it provided some beautiful scenes with some nice splashes against the tidal pool as the waves came rolling in towards the beach.
Walking back up to the road level, looking out over the ocean, with the Cave Rock Monument visible to the left in the photo.
We passed behind the Cave Rock Monument on road level, as it was high tide and there was no way of passing by the sandstone formation on the beach.
This is what it looks like from behind, looking at it from the road.
From here, this I the view of the beach, stretching up to the north.
Going down to beach level on the northern side of the Cave Rock Monument. Here you can see what I meant by saying it was not a wise idea to pass the rock by walking on the beach...lol.
A fisherman with his latest catch...
In my last photo for today, you can get a clear view of his catch...
And that's all for today, folks!
Thank you for reading my post! I do appreciate it!
