Hello friends!
Many things to do, many things to think about, but suddenly a day comes when everything seems to stop, we have a moment to pause and walk. Like during this past weekend...
We need to walk, breathe fresh air and look far away, beyond, so we go to see the sea, and this time, again from a new and different place.
A construction that extends beyond the coast right to an industrial port with history, where all of that is shown in that place, in the Port of Sagunto, in Spain.
As we walk along we also look at the sky, and there is a weird layer of wavy clouds, and we feel a warm air and a heat that is certainly artificial, which increases as we walk. And we feel the gentle wind that moves those clouds further and further away, we see them passing overhead, and as we move forward, they go out to sea. And we are going there too.
And those clouds play with us, depending on which way we look. To one side they cast shadows on us, the photos come out with a strange chiaroscuro, as if it weren't a bright and clear day.
So we see part of the structures and machinery of the port, while on the other side over the immense beach the sky is an intense bright blue. A contrast on each side, as we continue forward enjoying the moment.
And in that part of the beach, we also look down, to all sides. There are palm trees and also people, people exercising or playing, now that it is not summer, there are not many, everything seems emptier and calmer. What if we go down there too? But we want to continue even further, to the end.
We came across shoes, small shoes of children who are playing in a park there, right overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. A place that attracts everyone, and that everyone enjoys in their own way.
We look everywhere, on one side the large facilities of the port, and on the other the sea that now seems endless. Everything is blue, but those strange clouds are still there.
Meanwhile we are distracted by things that we see again, like that monument to an industrial past that remains with old orange machinery that now decorates the promenade.
And we are surprised by a boat that just passes by there, and other people are sitting there contemplating the landscape, the blue sea, the boats in the distance and those clouds that are almost going away too.
And we reach the end, towards the horizon without reaching it, but to some remnant structures of another structure from the past that is no longer there, surely another bridge or pontoon that reached further, there to that magic line that shows us the end of the sea.
We stay looking, everything is blue, everything shines, and there are no rolling waves but there are rolling clouds that are moving away, now yes, and everything has more color, everything is intense and the feeling of relaxation is total. We don't want to think anymore, we stay looking from the railing, as other people do, all of us who get there, to the limit that marks the end for us, although it is not an end, we continue a little further.
We continue on, out of there, following the coast, along the promenade, but we stop and change direction. Where are we going? The sea is there. To the beach, right? Yes, it's a beautiful day, and it's always good to take another deep breath before going home.
From there we see in the distance that pier that we have used and those structures that we have seen, now the perspective is different, everything changes depending on where we look and where we are.
Now there is only the beach, and the view of the sea again. We step on the sand while we look at a calm blue sea on a sunny, calm day with a blue sky. A warm moment that gives us calm, a pleasant walk that has given us peace. Until we return...
Happy walks!
