It's another Wednesday Walk adventure and here I am sharing a road trip from Las Vegas to Malibu Pier and Long Beach and vice versa. My husband and I had a spontaneous road trip last summer that saw us travel from the glittering lights of Las Vegas to the sun drenched shorelines of Malibu Pier and Long Beach, California. This was not just another road trip; it was about breaking away from monotony and appreciating different sceneries. Instead, we were going there as we had been asked for a favor by our friend who needed transport to California. In high spirits with bags already packed into the car, we left Las Vegas towards an open adventurous journey via the wheels. Although it was non-stop travelling, this wasn’t about destination but about the journey itself and what was seen.
Our first stop was Malibu Pier. As we approached, the sight of the picturesque pier extending into the shimmering ocean was a sight to behold. The day was bright and sunny, and the pier was bustling with tourists, all eager to capture their moments in this beautiful spot. The setting was reminiscent of Florida, with its palm-fringed beaches and azure waters. We joined the throng of tourists, snapping pictures and soaking in the vibrant atmosphere. Just imagine a bright, sunny day, and you're strolling down the iconic Malibu Pier. The salty sea breeze brushes against your face, and the rhythmic sound of waves crashing against the shore fills the air. Sounds dreamy, right? Well, let me tell you, it's even better in person. Malibu Pier isn't just another seaside spot; it's a place where you can truly soak in the laid-back California vibe. Open every day from sunrise to sunset, it’s a place where you can lose track of time, mesmerized by the beauty of the Pacific Ocean and the rugged Malibu cliffs. As you walk along the wooden planks of the pier, you'll find plenty to catch your eye. From the local fishermen casting their lines to the surfers riding the waves, there’s always something going on. And let's not forget about the stunning views. Trust me, you'll want to have your camera ready to capture the breathtaking scenery.
Next on our itinerary was Long Beach. By this time, our stomachs were grumbling, and we were ready for a break. We stopped over for a quick bite and then spent some time wandering around, exploring the local scene. The beach was buzzing with activity, and the laid-back vibe was a welcome contrast to our fast-paced drive. And as we headed back to Las Vegas, the scenery shifted dramatically. We were now driving past towering mountains, rugged cliffs, and stunning rock formations. The sight of bridges arching over gorges and pretty houses nestled against the hillsides added to the charm of the journey. I found myself glued to the window, camera in hand, eager to capture these awe-inspiring views.
Despite the long drive and the occasional fatigue, the experience was absolutely worth it. The road trip was not just about the places we visited, but also about the joy of the journey itself.
Cheers to more adventures!
