Humility is indeed very important, though from my perspective self-confidence, believing in ourselves, and yes, even being proud of ourselves for our accomplishment and successes, are also equally important. There is also a big difference between pride in one's self and arrogance or pompery. In my life I've learned very clearly the importance of all of the above, and to not fall into the trap of those mentioned below.
