Yes indeed, it never goes higher than halfway in wintertime, so yup, always nice light, and the golden hour lasts quite long (not yet all day as it is in the nordics).

Yesterday a report came out of the meteorological institute of Belgium, that in December 2024, up to this point (so day before yesterday), we had 6 hours and 11 minutes of sunlight. In total. Not per day, not per week, per over half-a-month :-D
I did see it pass by briefly yesterday. I quickly grabbed my iPhone and took a picture. It wasnβt even really there, but you could see it still existed, behind all the clouds. And even that only lasted a few secondsβ¦
