I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 5 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
In my post yesterday I recounted how Daisy the cow, during the end milking, spontaneously freaked out and destroyed the milking station. Since she couldn't go multiple days without being milked, we had to figure something out before the next morning. Since the stantion that we were using was so badly damaged, we decided to work on making the second milking stantion, that sits on the edge of 400 acres of forest and open grassy areas, usable once again. It hadn't been used in almost a year, so a lot of clearing was necessary, and we had to put up a new fence on one side as well.
So my day yesterday was mostly focused on cow stuff, first milking in the morning (when Daisy had her freakout), then spending a few hours erecting a new hog-wire fence with Jo(hanna), collecting cow-milking food, and finally working with Ano to install a gate, and to do some repairs on the second milking stantion. Because I was so busy with all that, I didn't have time, or cooperative weather, to take any photos yesterday at all, which means that photography takes priority today, especially considering that I don't have any photos for tomorrow's post, or for my entry in the Shadow Hunters Contest. The weather is not looking very inspiring for such purposes at the moment, however, as it's been cloudy and rainy since early morning. I'll do my best with the conditions that I have.
Before Jo and I attempted to move Daisy to the new milking area, which is on the other side of the property, I wanted to make sure that some important details were in place at the new stantion. Although it was raining, and Daisy was a little confused during the move, since it was breaking her known pattern, very thankfully it went smoothly, with her and Jo following behind me as I pushed the wheelbarrow of her cow-milking food (assorted edible foliage and a bucket of fruit treats) across the property toward the other milk stantion. Daisy got distracted a few times, munching on various delectable plants along the way, but we did finally get to our new milking area.
Milking today also went smoothly, though we realized that certain adjustments to how this other stantion was set up would be useful. Once we were done milking, Daisy was free to roam anywhere she wanted in huge track of semi-forested land behind the milk stantion. That should keep her happy until milking time tomorrow morning. Today I want to clear the way to the new milking area more, as it's still very overgrown, and also to level the ground under where Daisy stands, as it's not exactly flat at the moment.
On a slightly different, but equally fascinating topic, Bitcoin has gone to yet another all-time high, past $98,000 in fiat-dollar value, on its march to $100K. That's really quite amazing, though I have a feeling that this is just the beginning. It's a whole new ballgame after $100K, with $1,000,000 moving onto the radar. The crypto world is coming to a boil!
Yesterday, Wednesday, I left the Flow House, after wrapping up my Hive tasks, just before 1PM, to continue with my very cow-focused day, that continued clear until sunset. I did take about a half-hour break up at the Flow House, after a shower, to rest and do some important token management. After finishing up with Ano on some last touches at the new cow-milking area, I took another shower, I went to the Landing to make myself some food, and then I headed back to the Flow House, to get into my evening round of Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I got everything done first just before 9PM, then again just after 11:30PM, and after some token management, and a scan of my X feed, I went to bed just before 12AM. I woke up around 6:45AM, feeling pretty good, doing another round of token management, starting on this post, catching up a bit more on my notifications, and then getting out of bed around 8:30AM, to go make my superfood fire coffee, and to move and milk the cow with Jo. As soon as I finished with milking, I took a hot shower, then I made my way back to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 12:45PM, so an excellent time to end this post, so that I may get to my other few important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to first put my attention on photography for these posts, and for my entry in the Shadow Hunters Contest, straining and blending kefir (kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao), and then community/land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until my entry for the Shadow Hunters Contest later today, and the next edition of this post tomorrow! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
