I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 5 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
Well, it's Christmas day, which feels like it snuck up on me, as I only realized that today was Christmas yesterday. Regardless of the day, I still have my usual Hive tasks to do, as well as various things that I need to get done here in this jungle community. There's a local neighborhood Christmas party over at Cocowasi later today, that I'm planning to attend, if I'm able to get everything done, both on Hive, and in this off-grid community, before 2PM, which is when people here will be heading to the party. We shall see.
I'm not attached to going to the party, but it would be nice to see and talk with people in the local community, even if only for a few hours. I don't attend many social gatherings, so it would be good for me I think. The Christmas party at Cocowasi is always very well attended each year, so there will be quite a lot of people, which is a little outside my comfort zone, but all good, I'll flow with it all, plus they're all really friendly. I'm kind of a jungle hermit, so I don't go out very often, so it'll be a nice change.
Since I need to be ready to go by 2PM, I'm doing my best to get this post, and my other important Hive tasks, done as early as I can, especially considering that I have three important community tasks to get done too, before I go. When I finish this post, and my few other Hive tasks, I've also got to go milk the cow, do the dry-goods order in Tutu's for the town run tomorrow, and collect a wheelbarrow of cow food for tomorrow morning's milking. I may or may not get done on time to go to the party, but I'll make a valiant attempt!
I've gotten used to being alone, and I've even come to enjoy, and often prefer it, as I always have much to do, and I'm very discerning and picky about the people with whom I spend my time. When I'm around people, I'm acutely aware of the energy that they're putting out, and the perspectives from which they're operating, which can be either very enjoyable or quite unpleasant, so it's not that I'm anti-social, I'm just very selectively-social.
I shared a phone conversation with a woman named Riana yesterday (whom I met here at GaiaYoga last week), after a few days of text tag, because she expressed the desire for me to give her a session, and I wanted to flesh out for her more of what I do in them. Our conversation flowed easefully and enjoyably, and we ended up scheduling a session for her for Friday at 1:30PM. I just have to get all my Hive and cow-milking tasks done beforehand, which will indeed be a challenge, of course. Time is quite the bugger as of late. May I succeed in completing everything on time, both today and Friday!
Yesterday, Tuesday, I left the Flow House, once I finished up my Hive tasks, around 1:30PM, focusing my attention first on milking Daisy, which went smoothly. I had several things to get done yesterday, and much to my chagrin, a few seemingly simple-and-quick tasks became far more involved, and took a lot longer, than I had expected, washing my session sheets being one of them. After milking the cow, transporting a load of water to Daisy, and wrestling with a ridiculous laundry situation, I strained and blended kefir (kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao), collected a wheelbarrow full of Melochia leaves for cow-milking food, and helped Ano carry two Melochia poles from where he had harvested them (and where I collected cow food) behind the Mana Hut, to his studio on the other side of the property. Once all that was done, I stopped by the Landing to get my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee from the fridge, then I made my way back to the Flow House, to get into my evening round of Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I got everything done on Hive by just a little after 10:15PM, and after some token management, and a quick scan of my X feed, I went to bed a bit after 11:30PM. I slept well until 4:30AM, and unable to sleep for a bit, I did a few quick Hive tasks, and then I made another partially successful attempt at sleeping, finally waking up again around 7:30AM, doing a round of token management, starting on this post, the getting out of bed to go make my superfood fire coffee. It's now just after 10:30AM, so an excellent time to end this post, so that I may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House immediately afterward to get my three main important community jobs done before I leave for the Christmas party. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's expression of this post! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
