RE: I Am #AliveAndThriving Today! || #IAmAliveChallenge || Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry: Day #309 - I Am So Grateful for Hive! - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Thursday, June 1, 2023

Are there things about Hive, Hive Engine, or particular front-ends that annoy and frustrate me? Of course! Do I let that get in the way of my immense appreciation for it! Absolutely not!

That's part of the greatness, that Hive is so huge, there's room for everyone and everything! And space enough to avoid the parts one doesn't enjoy 💜

This is my goto for toothache: soak a few cloves in a tablespoon or two of vodka for 2-3 days, strain, then brush the affected area with the tincture. With a water colour brush, or a q-tip, not a tooth brush! Store the tincture in the fridge and it'll keep for years. Does it cure? Well, no, it simply damps the pain. The cloves and alcohol does help with inflammations though. What plants did you use?

Sort:

Yes, exactly! There are so many different ways to do things on Hive, that we can usually find something that works for us.

Clove in vodka, I can see how that would be useful! Thank you for sharing your method! Interestingly one of the plants I recommended has the name clove basil (also called vana tulsi or tree basil, and the botanical name Oncimum gratissimum), as it makes your mouth go numb when you chew it. That one, cure-for-all (Pluchea caroliniensis), and plantain (Plantago major). There are others that are also very useful, but I don't have enough of them yet to harvest. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

That sounds like a useful plant! Does it also work on bruises? Like, crushing the leaves into a paste and applying to a bruise? Or a sore back?

It is! Super useful! It's one of the holy basils/tulsi, that have a great many beneficial effects in the body, one of which is acting as an adaptogen, helping to being the body back into balance, whether it is overreacting or underreacting. It does help with pain and in healing, so it would likely help with bruises. It truly is a miracle plant! Plants are magic! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
