As agent of socialization, Religion attaches one's belief to a supernatural being. Believing that be strict adherent to such a Being can be important. Such a Being as a Supernatural, can be powerful and able to manipulate things/events for their good. They still believed that there is still another Being that's wicked and opposing to another to cause harm to them.
However, such a faith have been a serious debate in some quarters as many see it as "nonesense" while those that have such faith read from their holy scriptures that those that does not have such a faith are "senseless" because their abundant physical evidence that proves the existence of the spiritual being!
I'm raised to have a Christian faith and have been adherents for years. I studied the Bible regularly and convinced of the existence of God. God is all powerful and can influences my life activities although such influences is based on his Mercy because my actions does not merit his kindness towards me.
On Friday, 30th Dec., 2022, I was at a Christian gathering where a discussion on how to be a better Christ follower was the topic. The preacher explores several ways of encouraging us on the need to be diligent and hard working in caring for others. He read certain verses to buttressed his points and was well understood.
Conclusion
Let's respect others on their beliefs and share calmly to anyone who wish to hear about our faith. Being extremist and fanatics is very dangerous as it destroys the good characters. Let our learning and faith shows in our behaviour because without a good outing with others, we are just deceiving ourselves.
