Hello friends, today I will take you to visit Nong Pho Market, another market that I stop by almost every day because it is on the way to my wife's workplace. After picking my wife up from home, we will stop by this market to find food for dinner. This market is not open every day, but Wednesday and Saturday are the two days that are considered the biggest because there are more vendors and merchants from other provinces setting up shop than usual. Nong Pho Market is located next to Nong Pho Temple and near Nong Pho Ratchaburi Dairy Cooperative Limited (under royal patronage).
Nong Pho Temple has Luang Pho Dam, which is believed to be over 200 years old. It is a sacred Buddha image that Nong Pho people highly respect. It is a Buddha image from the early Rattanakosin period that is sacred and powerful, especially in terms of controlling the sky, earth, and air. Therefore, many people come to make vows and ask for various blessings as desired. Luang Pho Dam's favorite offerings and offerings include firecrackers, garlands, and movies.
Nong Pho Ratchaburi Dairy Cooperative Limited (under royal patronage) has a factory producing Nong Pho milk cartons, which has a cheerful cow as the mascot on the front of the milk cartons. The factory buys milk from villagers who raise dairy cows. Nong Pho villagers like to raise dairy cows to sell milk at this cooperative. The cooperative has representatives from the villagers who have been selected to manage the work. Nong Pho fresh milk is distributed throughout Thailand.
Therefore, this market is a food source for Nong Pho sub-district residents. The market is open every day from around 3 p.m. to around 9 p.m. Inside the market, there are a variety of products, but the main focus is on food. Other than that, there are clothing and household items shops. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, there are more food and clothing shops because everyone knows each other and comes to walk around a lot.
The flea market is a community market that allows farmers, vendors, and merchants to have a career selling products and is a source of income for the community. In Thailand, there is a flea market in almost every sub-district, which has products from that locality. This is one of the charms of Thailand, which has an abundance of food.
Thank you to all my friends who have supported me.
