It's Thursday night. Almost midnight, even though I started working on the computer earlier, time passed, and I ended up finishing the day without registering today. There is still some time, and besides, the record I have for today is short.
My #personallife has been relatively calm, some work came in the mail and I got through it. We bought some groceries. And, despite some minor electrical outages, things improved in the afternoon.
Since things are like this, I prefer to share about the #History Anniversary for today. It is a celebration of #food, in this case it is a #dessert. Today is Butterscotch Brownie Day.

The #Butterscotch Brownie is also known as 'Caramel Brownie', Blondies, 'Brownie Cookies', or simply Brookies (brownie + cookie). I always associated the word #Brownie with chocolate, but some of the websites I read today point out that this recipe is somewhat older. That's not what I expected.
So, the Butterscotch Brownie would be a recipe from the 19th century, although I am not clear on any more specific details of its origin.

It bothers me a little that I couldn't find a complete history of the origin of this holiday either. I only found that it is declared a National Day in the United States, and that it has not become popular internationally yet.
Personally, I love sweets, even if I don't eat them as often or in much quantity anymore. In addition to that, I like to find out historical curiosities, so learning about details of the history of food is something that I really like.

Es jueves en la noche. Casi medianoche, a pesar de que comencé a trabajar en la computadora más temprano, se me pasó el tiempo y caso termino el día sin hacer el registro de hoy. Aún queda algo de tiempo, y además, el registro que tengo para hoy es breve.
Mi #vida personal ha estado relativamente tranquila, llegó un poco de trabajo por correo y lo saqué adelante. Compramos algunos víveres. Y, a pesar de algunos fallos menores en servicio eléctrico, las cosas mejoraron en la tarde.

El Brownie de #Butterscotch, también es conocido como ‘Brownie de Caramelo’, Blondies, ‘Brownie Cookies’, o simplemente Brookies (brownie + galleta). Yo siempre asociaba la palabra #Brownie con el chocolate, pero algunas de las webs que leí hoy señalan que esta receta es algo anterior. Eso no me lo esperaba.
Entonces, el Brownie de Butterscotch sería una receta del siglo XIX, aunque no tengo claro más detalles específicos de su origen.

Me molesta un poco que tampoco pude hallar una historia completa del origen de esta fiesta. Solamente encontré que está declarado como un Día Nacional en Estados Unidos, y que no se ha popularizado a escala internacional todavía.
En lo personal, me encantan los dulces, incluso si ya no los consumo con tanta frecuencia, ni en mucha cantidad. Sumado a eso, me agrada averiguar curiosidades históricas, así que aprender sobre detalles de la historia de la comida es algo que me gusta bastante.
