I'm no economy expert, but raising tariffs is usually just a patch over an open wound... It can't fix the "local" economy overnight, it's just trying to weaken other market participants... That being said, others can "redirect" their trading to other places... In the end, it's all about margins and profits...

I will throw a couple of my grumpy cents on this... 😃 While I'm all for saving (and if I remember well, we talked about it before), I'm also all for doing the opposite of what is told to me... 😂 I saw some commercial on a TV about (bank) savings too, and they were nowhere a few years ago... Why's that? So, I suppose that's just a traditional trick... We will raise inflation to 6-7% (or more), and we will give you 2-3% for your (bank) savings... So you will not be poor-poor, but you will stay poor...
