Hello beautiful people! Happy New year to you all! 2024 has begun already, and I am sure we all have set goals for the year already, right? And even if you haven't, this first week is still a great time to sit down and set some because as you can see, the year is already moving fast...
But this post is not intended to teach you how to set goals. Rather I would like to share with you what my reaction or response will be if (by the time we are halfway down the year) I do not see the results I expect to achieve with my set goals.
You see, I don't have problems with setting goals. For instance, some of the goals I have set for this year include, but are not limited to:
🟠Health and wellness ( focusing on weight-loss and mental wellbeing).
🟠Finacial growth (both in the crypto world and otherwise).
🟠Business goals (launching a new Tech business, while still growing my current educational business).
🟠Hive growth (building meaningful connections and becoming more visible).
Etc etc
In the past, when I couldn't see myself getting near my desired results by the middle of the year, I lost motivation and just went with the flow. At the end of the year, it was like just going back to point zero. It really makes me sad, you know. And so, I had to sit down and think deeply...
So how will I react if I find things not going as desired by middle of 2024?
🔸️I will go back to my drawing board.
🔸️I will be honest with myself, giving myself a pat on the back where I deserve it.
🔸️I will educate myself more on the particular goal reading up or getting a mentor.
🔸️I will restrategize and do things differently to see what works better.
🔸️I will seek help and advice from those who already have the results I seek.
🔸️There is no time for me to play the victim or feel sorry for myself.
Now writing this post, I am asking myself, "Why didn't you do this when you faced this same issue in the past?" That is my inner critic, guys, and I am not going to fall into the trap of beating myself down because of what I did or failed to do in the past. I am facing the future with positivity and just being honest with myself, hehehe.
If you have read to this point, and you are wondering why I wrote all this... It is because @kenechukwu97 inspired me with this thought-provoking post on being a wild thinker
So this post is actually my entry to the January edition of the contest holding in The Thinker's Corner. Get more details here.
Thank you for reading. I, @ngwinndave, authored this post. The photo in this post is mine.Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. I will respond as quickly as I can. What would you do if you find yourself in the kind of situation I wrote about. I would love to read if you tag me in your own post, hehehe.
Thanks once again.
