Life isn’t about finding happiness, nor is yoga about achieving perfection. It’s about who you become along the way, how you move through life’s twists and turns with grace, balance, and a little bit of humor.
This picture sums up that feeling for me.
It’s not a perfectly choreographed dance. It’s spontaneous, joyful, and free. There’s something powerful about twirling on a quiet path under a wide-open sky, feeling the wind catch your dress, and realizing that life is meant to be lived in movement.
For me, yoga and dancing are deeply connected. Both teach you to be present, to embrace the moment, and to let go of perfection. The headstands, the meditation by the lake, and even the moments when life feels overwhelming, they all lead to the same lesson: keep moving, keep breathing, and keep becoming.
These past few weeks have been full of those life lessons. Sleepless nights, navigating hormonal waves of perimenopause and endometriosis, raising kids who are carving out their own paths—none of it has been easy. But through it all, I’ve learned to dance with life’s challenges.
Got the quote from Sadghiru on Instagram
I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting, especially on how life isn’t a search for happiness or success. It’s about becoming someone who finds joy in the process. Whether that’s through a quiet yoga session, a heartfelt conversation, or twirling in a red dress on a sunny day, it’s all about embracing now.
So yes, I’ll keep showing up on my yoga mat, not to “fix” anything, but to keep becoming. I’ll keep twirling through life, laughing at the chaos, finding the little moments of light.
Because life isn’t a straight path. It’s a dance, a flow, a moment of joy in between the challenges.
And right now, I’m exactly where I need to be. Twirling, breathing, moving through it all.
With love and a twirl,
A Mom Dancing Through Life
(P.S. Take a moment today to dance, even if it’s just in your kitchen. Life feels better when you let yourself move.)
