When I first started, I wasn't powering up because I didn't understand the concepts of the blockchain, and I thought it was 'fake' money anyway. I was just doing it for the blogging experience. Since then, you would think I would know more about it, but I'm still confounded by simple concepts such as Power Up Day, which I just learned about from reading your post. Thank you for that! So, here's a silly question, why would you want to power up on this particular day?

I split my rewards with Hive/HBD because I'm using my HBDs to fund my NFT Art shenanigans in the NFT Showroom. :)

Welcome to Hivepud Hive Power up day October 1st 2021. Maybe @traciyork could answer some of the questions in the comments in my post? eg: what is a power bee? what is PUD? why would one want to power up specifically on Hive PUD day? Alternatively drop her your questions on her post and I am sure she'd be happy to answer them

I'm happy to answer all your questions - working on putting a reply together now, but it might take me a minute as I have a few other things I'm doing at the same time (multitasking for the ~~fail~~ win!). From what I understand it is just a great way to remind people to power up to invest in the community and to do it on one day as a community. You get Hive badges and "power-up" bees awarded as an incentive. It's a bit of fun I guess and creates awareness for the community. It's the first time that I have done it. I guess by having the badges it shows to the community that you do power up too (?) If anyone can add any more, that would be great. We are all here to learn :-)
