Having some issues with the vehicle, so I brought it to the son of a friend who is very good at problem solving car problems.
The first issue is obvious - the tail pipe is about to fall off! It's hanging on by a thread.... it's a metal thread, but still.
It's leaking exhaust and it's not stable at all. If it came off while driving, it'd be bad news.
Pulled the tail pipe right off!
The other problem is electrical, concerning the lights. We found the headlight switch had some burn marks on it.
We found the switch and it was very hot. It shouldn't be hot, but it was hot enough to burn skin. We suspect there's a short. Thankfully we found a replacement part on ebay.
The van will be out of commission for a while, at least a few days, but what a blessing to have it all working again!
