We Are Alive! August 7th, 2022 A Not So Productive Day

Normally, Sundays are project day where we get things done in the yard or around the house. Today has been very different. We have multiple sick children and a sick mamma. After getting pancakes and showers done, mamma took a long nap and daddy had to find something for lethargic coughing children to do, keeping them ocupied.

We did something we rarely ever do, we rented a movie. We watched "Home Alone" which is a little intense for the little ones, some language and attitudes that we don't allow in our home, but with some strong parental guidance, the children seemed to enjoy the movie.

Funny watching a "Christmas movie" in the middle of summer, for a family that does not celebrate Christmas!

Funny watching a "Christmas movie" in the middle of summer, for a family that does not celebrate Christmas!

Christmas is originally commemorating the birth of Jesus, but nowadays Christmas is rather about being together with our families and with our loved ones. But many people put the focus on gifting, and also many people are stressed about the gifting, but it really is not necessary. And I know that Christmas is not a celebration to many people, but a stressful event/occasion. But this is really not what Christmas is about.

The love is the most important. Christmas is supposed to be one of the most pleasant celebrations of the year, full with love. And this depends on the perspective/viewpoint, but we can make any/every day Christmas.

Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

Christmas is rather about being together with our families and with our loved ones

Being together with families and loved ones is always a good thing, we make every attempt to do this as often as we reasonably can.

we can make any/every day Christmas.

As far as good cheer and good will, visiting and celebrating, we should be grateful everyday. As my friend @sebcam likes to says "merry everyday!"

Family time is a blessing. I love a good movie. Thanks for sharing.

Amen, it's a blessing to spend time with the children and talk about things.
