I'm welcoming the new year in an hour, taking my time in writing as I'm actually feeling sleepy now. π Come to think of it, I didn't take my usual afternoon nap.
I said good-bye to my desk calendar this 2024. Did you #liveformore this past year? I'd like to think I did, even if I've been adjusting to living alone (but I do have the kitties and guinea pigs). However, I was also adjusting to being able to do more things on my own. I'd admit it wasn't easy given my mobility issue. I guess that's one reason why I'd like to overcome my challenge this 2025. Hopefully, I'd be more self reliant as well. Let's just say I simply prefer that.
I'll try to record a video tomorrow instead, since there are fireworks every so often happening right now. I call it boom boom paw paw. π It makes me a little sad as I remember Twilight -- he's been missing for a year now. He's too afraid of fireworks. I pray he is okay wherever he is. ππ Anyway, I took the above photo as I went out earlier in the morning. I did ask my brother for help as I need to travel a bit to another section of the district. Due to my mobility issue, I'm not inclined to go farther away from where I live. I'm also not inclined to take public commute these days. That's at the lobby of the condo where he parks his vehicle. He drove me to a takeout shop called Cosmos Food Gallery where I was going to pick up my orders of asado and lechon kawali. That has been a tradition even when Mom was still around. I honestly am not sure when we started this tradition anymore. It just is so I like to continue with it. I also like asado a lot. It's one of my favorite dishes. π As a gift, I also ordered lechon kawali for my brother -- he doesn't like asado. π
I'm really pleased with my morning activity. It took less than an hour to complete the whole thing. The kitties were treated with their New Year treats of lechon kawali for lunch and dinner. π Tomorrow I'll share about my sangria.
Last day of 2024. πβ€οΈπ‘ I'm thankful I've completed another calendar year. I pray the coming 2025 will be an even better year for me and my daughter. Inshallah!
