Hi there. How are you? I hope you are doing great. Welcome to my short diary for Sunday, February 09, 2025.
My father (and mother) wanted to visit their relatives' houses for a long time. Due to the geriatric illness, my father can't move alone. But, he wants company around him. He also wants to visit the people he knew before. So, before the end of my vacation, today I took my parents to their old relatives' houses.
We started our journey in a hired autorickshaw at around 8:30 am. We went to my maternal grandfather's house at first. My grandparents are already dead. But, the uncles (my mother's brothers) and his family were there. From there, one of the uncles joined us. Our next target was my mother's aunt's and cousin's houses.
It was in a remote village. The grandmother was quite old but could walk alone despite difficulties. One of the maternal uncles' hosted us and served us lunch. From there, we went to another aunt's house (my mother's cousin's sister). From there, another, and another. We visited a total of 5 houses today :)
It was quite tiring for my father to sit in the autorickshaw towards the end. But, he was quite happy after this tour.
