Adding 2 More Decimals - To Our ALIVEM Mining Token

In this post I share that we have just added 2 more decimals to our ALIVEM mining token, why we have made this update, and what it means for you, enjoy!

Hi there and welcome to my blog, my name is Erik Gustafsson and I go by the handle @flaxz.

Adding 2 More Decimals - To Our ALIVEM Mining Token

So I have just updated the precision of our ALIVEM mining token to add 2 more decimals, so that ALIVEM now have 3 decimals instead of 1 as before.

The mining contract also adjusts to the new precision automatically, so no mess up of rewards like what happened when we added a decimal to ALIVE, as that uses Scotbot and not SMT.

Why?

We have 2 reasons for doing this update.

With 2 more decimals it becomes a lot easier to buy ALIVEM, which will create more demand for it.
This update will lower the threshold for payouts of ALIVEM to ALIVE delegators for @aliveandthriving, see our announcement about it here, Introducing ALIVEM Rewards - For Delegating ALIVE To @aliveandthriving.

There is also a reason to only increase decimals to 3 and not more, ALIVE has 4 decimals and that means that staking the lowest amount of ALIVEM, 0.001, will pay out mining rewards, if we added more decimals then the lowest amount staked would go to dust.

What Does This Mean For You?

This means that you can now buy ALIVEM much more easily, as you can buy them in smaller parts, and it's just much more attainable.

It also means that when delegating ALIVE to @aliveandthriving it is much easier to reach the payout threshold.

As I stated in the announcement we will have a weekly roll over of rewards on those delegations, so if you are below the threshold then it will keep accumulating until it is reached and you get a payout.

With this update it will take even a small ALIVE delegation a lot less time to reach that threshold, if there is any that don't reach it in a week.

I think that this update will encourage more people to buy ALIVEM, as well as also encourage more delegations of ALIVE to @aliveandthriving, which is great for the tribe and all stakeholders in it.

Thanks for the update, this sounds good. I have no idea yet what kind of rewards we'll get from the ALIVE delegations. Once we get the first payout, it will be easier to figure out what that looks like. In any case, all good for the tribe and its members!

Hi there, it seems that you did not use correct tags so we did not see them, you need to use #alive and #iamalivechallenge and you need to add them when you publish your post, or at the latest 1 hour after or it will not be posted to the We Are Alive Tribe, and if it's not then we will not see it, and I guess that you edited your last post to include the tags after that 1 hour deadline.
