Recurrent UTI
A urine infection is quite common in women. Every year, 11 out of 100 women suffer from a urine infection (UTI-urinary tract infection). Of them, 25% suffer from a second infection within 6 months. Studies show that around 3% of women suffer from recurrent urinary infections (rUTI) each year.
So, when should we label someone having a recurrent urinary infection?
If someone develops uncomplicated urinary infections 3 times or more in 12 months or 2 times or more in 6 months, it is called an uncomplicated recurrent urinary infection!
