The main reason is to make it simple to switch between Hard Disks or to change the broken one. I have 2 Hard Disks now as you know 1 for backup and 1 again for DATA D:. I'll buy another one to separate DATA D: and Entertainment E:
My CPU casing has a place for hard disks on the right panel. For Hard Disk replacement, I need to:
- Open the right panel
- Put out the PSU
- Remove 2 bolts from the PSU room
- Open the front panel
- Remove the lowest fan
- Remove 2 bolts from the front panel
- Safely put out the Hard Disk from its place to change with another Hard Disk.
P.S. I need to place the fan and PSU again after that.
With a Hard Disk Tower, I can open my left panel and easily switch the Hard Disk Drive that I want to use. Just plug in or out SATA and PSU cables. The bolts are easy to remove too.
Why did I not just buy another CPU casing? More time to plug out everything and plug in again 😑. I even think about making a wall-mounted CPU if I have my own house with my own room to put my CPU 🤣. It's simpler to change every part if there's a problem.
