It's a tired day yesterday. I posted it today as I was already too tired yesterday 😂. I went to Megumi Mazesoba PIK to try its menu, which is named Steak Mazesoba. There's also a promo about refilling ramen if we order from the mazesoba (dry ramen) menu. I wasn't going there with my usual friends but with underclassmen. They are still a college student.
As they're not familiar with public transportation routes yet due to they're from outside of Jakarta, we're meeting at Starbucks in a mall near the campus first. I escorted them to the destination by public transportation. Need to be a good senior so they can pay less for transportation and more for food 😂.
We arrived at the place and it's right across from the bus stop. We didn't need to take a walk more than we needed. It's good that the traffic was so friendly yesterday. We arrived 1 hour before the estimated time.
Steak Mazesoba is served! It's a dry ramen with spices and thick broth as the flavoring. The toppings are Medium rare sous vide steak with a torched finish, onsen egg, green onions, shredded nori, corn, and roasted sesame seeds. I mixed it up well and tried it. The first taste that I can feel is garlic and something rich from the broth. Then, it turns to sweet and salty from corn and shredded nori. The beef is good and easy to chew but sadly it's kinda bland if I eat it without others 😂. After I finished the noodles, I asked for the refill as the promo said but sadly after that, I realized that the promo was just for one time only. I thought I could refill the ramen 3 times 😜. Some of us especially the big eaters like me were disappointed to know that. Overall the price is worth it for the portion and the taste like a little above a mid-tier (7.5/10). It's a good one to try. It becomes my #2 in a good dry ramen it won't go lower if the refill promotion is still there 😂.
We're there for more than 1 hour. We're talking about updates and conditions as there's a generation who's still studying, a generation who's looking for work (fresh graduates), and a generation who's already working at one table. There are some changes and updates and I also shared what was happening before. All of us are from the same university. Look at the new generation who's just still in his first year. I feel old 😂.
After eating, we had fun talking and walking around for a while until dark. The one thing I know is that they're smarter than me in knowledge base because there was a curriculum change after I wasn't a student anymore. Some of us are usually talking in Discord server and it's the first time for some of us to meet each other. It's quite fun to know more who has a common interest tho the age gap is quite far. I hope you have a nice weekend 👋. Have a nice day everyone!
