RE: DeepSeek vs. ChatGPT

I'm a non-native English speaker, and English is my third language. I'm using an AI editor to edit my posts, correct grammar, sentence structures, how to say it better, and things like that. I spend a lot of time drafting my post, from collating my ideas, freewriting by hand, typing, and editing everything. I don't take my posts lightly because I want my content to be worth the votes I am getting. But some people are not happy with that here. They ran my content through an AI detector, and of course, it flagged it as plagiarism and stuff. Pissed me off, but I respect everyone and community rules. I don't want to argue with anyone, so I moved on. There is good and bad in everything, including AI, but I think we shouldn't have a knee-jerk reaction to things like this and persecute or accuse anyone unnecessarily.

That’s true and sorry to hear that. There even is an app that conceals the use of Ai in your text btw. But there are so many, me as well, English is not my native language. And if you must write in English for some communities, you just can’t use google translate to catch the atmosphere of your writing. Sorry you had to go through this.
It isn’t that you’re plunging some ideas in Ai and let a text appear, I read your posts as well.
Keep posting like you do ❤️ I love reading your posts

Thank you. Likewise me too like your posts 😃

AI is helping more people to express themselves than ever before. Why are we writing? To convey our emotions, tell stories, and exchange ideas with others. I enjoy writing and do so on a daily basis. I want everyone to have that right and that joy regardless of their circumstances. We can't all go on long writing retreats somewhere by the sea, with our spouses pouring us delicious cups of coffee. The reality for most of us is that writing can be difficult... maybe we have a bunch of kids tugging on our clothes, maybe we're exhausted from a full-time job, maybe we didn't have great opportunities in school, maybe English isn't our first language like me an indigenous woman from an obscure tribe somewhere in Borneo or maybe we're fighting dyslexia, ADD, or arthritis to get the words on the page. We should not label those who want to express themselves with AI as cheaters or not real writers. How can writing be cheating? What defines a 'real writer'? All of this is absurd, unless you think writing is a competition. I do not feel that writing is a competition; instead, I believe that expression is a basic right. And AI is not preventing people from writing or expressing themselves. Quite contrary in fact. A new publication by a Harvard academic named Andrew Hartwig contends that, over the next decade or so, 90% of the IP generated nationally and worldwide will most likely be generated by artificial intelligence...so...🤷‍♀...I'm not condoning anything just this is the reality of the world we live in, something to ponder about. This is just my opinion though and have no intention to argue with anyone 🙏❤️

I will look that article up, thanks for sharing it. For the rest I feel exactly what you mean and have the same idea about it ❤️ you are right in every way. My mom was a writer but got very sick so she had to let it go. Ai would have given her the chance of expressing herself

. My mom was a writer but got very sick so she had to let it go. Ai would have given her the chance of expressing herself

See? Had she had that privilege, she could pursue it and derive joy from writing. God knows how hard it is to get published anywhere, but if we could share our opinions and views of things in some tiny corner of the world, why not?

Exactly. We need to learn more about Ai, the pitfalls and everything. But I know if you don’t learn to use it, you are putting yourself out of the game. Today a new Ai came out, so you just can’t ignore it anymore
