Ah, the dark caves of software development ;-)
Sometimes you have to make the jump to a newer version that breaks the backward compatibility with the old version. It doesn't have to be a problem, if all other downstream projects are aware, and updated. But that's what went wrong :-D

That would suggest that more communication with the community on the part of the devs, especially regarding changes that will break things, should perhaps be a higher priority. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

That wouldn’t hurt for sure!
Also people abandoning their projects without handover, while other people are using/relying on their projects is a big issue. It might be good to have some kind of overview of that kind of projects…

Yeah, I'm very aware of how many projects get abandoned, with no effort put toward someone else taking over. That's why I've become so picky about layer-2 projects. I'm curious about people using/relying on their projects. An overview, and I'd also say a best-practices recommendations and principles for beginning projects on Hive. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Yes indeed, that would help a lot, some more guidance and best-practices for new developers. Maybe also some kind of register that keeps track of the different projects, where the dev needs to "ping" the register to show that it is still online/uptodate/maintained would be nice.
There is still room for improvements ;-)

I like the register idea as a way of 'pinging' for project life. I love Hive very much, but oh yes, there is indeed room for improvement! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Same thing indeed, I love it, but things can get much better still! Maybe we should start working towards those improvements... ;-)

In any way I can help work toward those kinds of improvements to Hive, I'm in! Sounds great! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

As a starter, by helping to think of solutions and brainstorming on it :-)
We can start by having some kind of a list using some kind of a wiki perhaps? Later on see how we can automate as much as possible.
