We ventured out to Osaka to expand our network of Japanese friends and associates. The setting was great and there were crowds of people walking around the main street of Namba from the Sauna to Osaka Tower (Tsutenkaku) and on the other street leading towards the park and zoo.
We were a bit early for the linkup so we walked around the area and took pictures of the Osaka Tower and other surrounding buildings. The street is lined with restaurants and other buildings on both sides.
We saw many tourists walking around, taking in the sights and many people, most of them tourists, were not wearing masks. I suppose we'll see more of this as Japan's inbound tourism grows for the spring season and beyond.
Saw this giant red octopus 🐙 hanging out on the front of a building.
So the plan for the day was to eat out with some Japanese families at a popular restaurant and then hang out for a bit in the free park so the children could play together.
It was a clear day and the temperature was in the low 20s.I'll try to make a post about the restaurant we visited in a future post. All I'll say for now is that it was an indoor seafood restaurant where you could catch the fish that you wanted to eat and have it prepared by the chef.
Have you visited a major city in your country recently? What is the name of the city and what is it famous for?
