It's a beautiful Sunday morning! 😃
I can hear the birds ranting loudly outside as they go from tree to tree. The sound alone calms you down.
Only I can't photograph them today. I am currently sitting inside with my coffee and after this writing I will resume my courses for my undergraduate thesis.
Today I promised my mother that I will cook cabbage and chicken; in curry. Just different from cabbage in salad.
Later in the day I have to tutor some children and I will probably workout afterwards. I'm a little sad because the nearest gym in Saramacca is closed. Well, very few people used it. The nearest opened gym is now an hour away and I think that's a big waste of my gas and time.
So I'll just do my workout at home for now. It's a shame though that so few people work out in Saramacca and Suriname. I think that explains why diseases of the cardiovascular system are the biggest cause of death here. But then I don't think it is news anymore when I say that we have a lot of overweight people in Suriname. It is crazy that despite all the warnings and all the education people just keep on living the way they have always lived. I personally know a lot of people who don't want to pay their monthly gym dues, but then have money for Mc Donalds.
Pfftt...
I also notice that at the yoga classes around here you see the same people back all the time. Speaking of which, maybe it's an idea to temporarily offer free yoga classes at various schools to get more youth to join. Funny this just comes to mind like that while writing lol. I will discuss this idea with yoga teachers I know! Who knows, much more may flow from this.
