What happens when we find out that a particular thing doesn't really benefit us, it is difficult to balance this as a person that was raised by African parents because we were taught to Always stay away from any movie, song or anything else that we can't really benefit from.

I grew with this mind and sense of reasoning, but I can remember vividly how I used to have fun with my friends and siblings when we watch movies because there were engaging and we're action movies, but come to think about it these movies were not even meant for us to see because literally those movies didn't help us read or write but we enjoyed and it really helped us as children see the world differently, not as boring place infact psychologically it made us think about the opportunities to be great in life.
Few families understands the purpose of arts. I once read a book written by a Nigerian who lived the rest of her life in the (U.K) united kingdom. In the book she also talked about how the whites love reading fiction, she explained how surprised she was to always see a grown adult watch,read and talk about fictional stories which is never a thing in her country.
This prompt immediately drew my attention because I can say it's something related.
But then I just want to let you guys know that every single piece of art has a meaning to itself. It's not necessary that there should be a meaning behind it but there is definitely a meaning for its existence. Art is a very big tool in the society which educates This is not a contradiction.
Originally what seems nonsensical to a person can have a good meaning to another. The work of art has categories in which different people find love.
From the beginning of this post all I've been saying is that instead of ignoring a work of art let it out for who you think it will be good for, my reason for saying this is that for the past years arts have been misused, whenever a thing is in the wrong hands it is always difficult to be handled properly.
However you might never know an information that is embedded in any form of art, movies, songs, games, books etc without appreciating it, that I mean taking some time to check out what has has to offer.
Arts is always a beautiful thing it's all depends on what we sometimes see, because of the structure of the mind, life without arts would be too serious😊 for my liking it would be difficult to convey languages in a way that helps we all understand.
I love arts and I stand for it anytime any day.
