Life on its' own is an embodiment of lessons but then, you have to go get them, none of them comes at you and be like, "oh, I'm honesty or persistence, learn about me"
Nah, we learn what we know either by making mistakes or by learning from other people's mistakes.
In that same way, Hive is a great community or platform that represents the mini world and has a lot to teach only if you could calm down and follow it through, in the Hive platform stands out Hivelearners Community where a lot of members with goodwill are around to help you climb the ladder of the platform even without you making the mistakes they made.
It's no mistake to say that the lessons I've learnt from Hive as a whole could all be attributed to Hivelearners Community because just after creating my profile, the name of the community attracted me... Hivelearners; "A community for newbies where you learn about the platform before spreading your wings...."
These were the exact thoughts that came to my mind immediately I came across them and without further ado, I subscribed immediately and they never let me down in term of growing my account and teaching me ways around the Hive platform by their various activities.
Lessons learnt
- Persistence:
Joining on in the community, the very first lesson I learnt was persistence.
I got to see accounts that were way high up in earning rewards and wallet values than mine, even though I joined new, I wanted mine to be like theirs... I think I wanted magic, lol.
I asked around on the discord server and got a very motivating response... "All accounts were once like yours."
This line of response made me know that indeed everything is possible and all I needed was just to be persistent and be on the right track and not so long, mine will be something others will envy too.
- Hardwork and consistency:
Posting on the Blockchain is a tasking thing even when you love writing because atimes it just seems like your head is block and you're unexpectedly lazy and can't pen anything down to post but joining in on the community, I got to see people that made it a point of duty to keep their blog pages fresh and interesting with various posts and I had no option other than to challenge myself and do so too.
It only takes consistency to pull that off.
- Extending a helping hand:
There's a rule before sharing your blog post on the community's discord server and the rule is that you must support someone's else post.
This made me know that it's not all about me and what I will receive from people but also about what I could render to others.
- Dedication Of The Moderators:
Finally, I learnt and keep learning a height of dedication...
I wasn't here when the community was created but ever since I joined here atleast for the past 70weeks, @bruno-kema has been consistently posting about the prompts and going through as many prompt entries as he could...
Damn! That takes a lot of dedication and I keep learning that from him; to be in whatever task I am doing.
Mistakes and Misconceptions I had
Joining in new, of course I was thinking I had to be Chinua Achebe before I could excel on the platform, little did I not know that anyone could improve with time, learning and consistency.
Writing was difficult for me but then, with the advice I got to always participate on the prompts that relate with me, I kept on doing so and I kept on developing my writing by reading from others.
There are a lot of lessons to be learnt and a lot of misconceptions to dump only if you could calm down and ask questions, the Hivelearners Community members are bunch of calm people that will always give you an attentive ear and by so doing, we all grow.
Thanks for reading and have a nice day
