I felt like this prompt was directed to me especially because I'm one of the sweet tooth humans lol. If there is any meal I take that could use some sugar, I don't hesitate to add in a spoon or two to get the best taste of that meal. It's one of my addiction for a long time now and guess what, I didn't think of it as bad for my health sometime ago.
I take as much sugar as I want to and at anytime with the mindset that, I will burn them away when I work even if the work isn't hard enough to do the burning lol.
I can't even deny that I haven't been the sweet tooth kind right from time. Instead, I can say I'm doing my best to cut down on it after I knew better to take in less sugar. I can still remember a time someone fell down and was rushed to the hospital, the diagnosis was that she had too little sugar in her body and I was so surprised.
I thought health issues only comes to those who take too much sugar, I didn't know not taking sugar could cause even worse health issues. This kinda justifies my sugar intake at that time, I would add in one more spoon with the excuse that, I don't have much sugar in my system and I don't want to faint like that girl π
Not like I abuse sugar though, before you start thinking that way. I just don't take too little when it's about sugar and I tend to go for drinks that have sugar than the sugar free ones. I remember one time I got a sugar free drink, I tasted it and was like, what am I tasting that's sweet if it's not sugar? it made me decide to go for only sugar or milky or yoghurt drinks so I'll know what I'm taking in lol.
After an incident that had me groaning in pains because of my sugar level intake, I have cut down on it a lot and resorted to taking fruits that are naturally sweet and drinks with milk or yoghurt. This has helped keep my sweet tooth intact while I keep healthy.
There was one time I decided to go a month without sugar, I was so impressed by myself that I achieved it and the month was an easy one for me in many aspects aside struggling to not to take sugar. Even though I fell sick the next month and had to take in sugar for balance, I felt the good difference.
I haven't tried to go a month without sugar again but I've succeeded in limiting the amount I take. Replacing sugar with fruits, milk and nice meals are a good way to keep healthy and still have a sweet tooth, a healthy one lol. So if I have to decide between too much sugar or no sugar, I'll go for less sugar hehe.
