Sometime ago, a group of persons who ain't interested in politics or so they claimed were caught in a political argument and the focus was that, they could bet one man can do what all the others have failed to do after winning the seat.
It's quite obvious now that whoever wins the seat focuses on filling up their money bag for their coming generations instead of trying to effect change and I want to believe there is some hidden power that changes even the righteous mind once he occupies the seat.
Things would definitely be different if those who go into power focus effecting positive changes but then, our reality today is sad to say. For this reason, I can not be into politics talk more of becoming an important key for my country's political situation to change. I feel they have make it a norm and it would be very hard to effect change no matter how focused one is.
Why do I say so? Imagine my country having a good president who wants to make sure he effects change but has bad leaders in the state and community level. I've seen a clear example where a rich man provides huge amount of money for his community to have steady light and free water. What happened within some days of accomplishing that? Some thieves (community people) stole the expensive stuffs to sell for their own gain.
It's really funny how some people are crying and hoping for change while others are just finding every chance to fill their pockets. Well, you could say they've given up on the possibility that the country could get any better but that doesn't justify their actions if you ask me.
So back to me being a politician, would I do a better job? I think I'd rather do my better job from the seat of being a citizen. If the strong hearted have been there and nothing happened, a less stronger heart won't get to do much at all. Right from time, I've never had a single interest in politics but it doesn't mean I don't try to see what is going on there at least to be sure citizens are still safe.
Politics is a dirty game and it's hard to go there with a clean mind and not get tainted. One thing I believe is, the change will have to start from each person and not the one on the seat. If everyone would be for change, the president will have little to do and things will change for the positive.
I'll keep praying that my country have a better leader someday but most importantly, I pray that we the citizens will have a change of mindset towards the growth of this country. It's definitely not going to be easy to see the change we need but a little effort here and there would go a long way in changing things.
That's it for my response, I'd rather not take the seat but effect change from where I am. Hopefully, we would have more people like that.
