I'm don't think I'm the best person to share this about my city since I've been blessed enough not to visit the hospital as often as some do. But for the few times I've had to visit a government owned hospital (Federal hospital) in my state and one other state, I've learned how poor the services are and how concerning it should be for the government.
It's sad that this notice have been there for as long as I can remember but very little or nothing is done to make things better in this aspect, really sad.
It would be unbelievable that the Government isn't aware of this issue that has been there but it is even more unbelievable that they plan to do nothing about it considering the threats it is putting on the citizens especially to their health and money.
If I am correct, the federal hospitals were introduced to reduce hospital fees for sick citizens but somehow people prefer to spend so much in private hospitals to paying less in federal hospitals. The reason is quite obvious, services in these hospitals are so bad and even life threatening if I could use that word.
It's a great idea to provide hospitals for citizens to pay less but shouldn't the services be put into consideration so citizens can pay for getting better rather than falling even more sick? The record of sick people and even the dead ones in federal hospitals according to my knowledge is so much that it is concerning but nothing seem to be done about it.
My most recent experience in a federal hospital is one I'll not forget in a long time. I was obviously in pain and need any tiny bit of attention but then, there was the rank, connection and level keeping the doctors from me in the hospital.
It's in federal hospitals you'll find the rich patients getting treated first, the poor patients getting less attention or less treatments because the medical workers know they won't pay well after all. It's even more sad to see patients be on queue to get treated, I think this can be sorted out easily if more medical personnels are employed.
I can't even start ranting on about the unhealthy environment a lot of these hospitals have become to patients whether healthy or sick. The mosquito bites, the unclean restrooms, the too close proximity of trash place to a patient room and a lot of other unhealthy settings are found in these hospitals.
One thing I've learnt more from studying about the human health, the environment plays a big role in getting a sick person to be healthy even more than the drugs or medical treatment would. This is why I believe every hospital should be situated in a healthy environment.
The Government can put an end to these problems and provide better medical services to her citizens but then, we can only hope and pray that such a time would come. The federal hospitals should function for what they were made for and not force citizens choose to spend more in private hospitals instead.
