It's that time of the week again when we get creative and share it with the community simply for the love of it. It's been more exciting to prepare contents for creative Sunday now as I do learn new things because of it.
I've been trying to keep up with my recent recipe exploration so today, I decided to share a recipe of a kind of sauce I came across and loved. We wanted to have some fried ripe plantains and I suggested, why not just make a sauce out of it?
So the name is Plantain Beef Sauce - Because I used fried plantains, beef with pepper for a hotter taste.
Sauce is like stew but a little different because of how it is prepared. It is almost an all purpose meal, you can use it to eat in a few combinations. Although this sauce I made is a bit limiting with choices to eat it with but very delicious. If you like fried plantain, beef and sauce then you'll love this recipe.
So in the post, I showed how I prepared a sauce using plantain and beef.
Ingredients used:
- Pepper
- Vegetable oil
- Beef
- Onions
- Carrots and greens
- Salt and maggi
The ingredients are quite regular and not expensive except the meat, we bought little but it cost more than we expected. Well, the taste made us forget whatever we spent in making the stew come together in our pot lol.
The process is explained in the video but to have a brief write up on how to go about it, I'll share them in a few steps.
Steps to prepare the Plantain Beef Sauce
- Prepare your ingredients
I cleaned and steamed the beef. - Fry your ripe plantains turn brown, not dark hehe.
- Pour your vegetable oil into a heated pot, add salt then onions.
- Pour in your grinded pepper and allow to fry
- Add your beef to make it taste into your sauce.
- Add your maggi to taste
- Add your plantain then your carrots and greens
- Allow the sauce to fry for a few minutes before taking it off the heat.
And your plantain beef sauce is ready to be eaten like that or with anything of your choice, I had mine with rice as seen in the picture above... Believe me, the taste was amazing.
You should try this recipe, a feedback on it would be lovely but I bet it'd be a good feedback. Let me know what you think about this recipe.
