I wanted to not write for this prompt anymore even after thinking I will before it was decided but a lot has happened and I thought I must share my view on it as well. There are just some things that needs to be written clearly even if the reason for writing it may had been a joke.
Yes, I see this prompt as a funny fantasy one... Not real, can't be possible or should I say will never be possible!
But if it was real and if I am told to be the world's sacrificial lamb... Here is what would be my response.
For a start, that is me breaking free from getting sacrificed for the world I know because my capitalized answer to the question in the prompt is. NO!!! I have like a thousand reasons I can not be sacrificed for the world's sake that I doubt I'll be able to write all here but I'll share the ones I can anyway.
What if I am sacrificed and it turned out to be yet another lie by whoever told me?
What if the world does get better for sometime but somehow it goes back to how it was again?
Like I said, I know the world as I've lived for a good amount of years already. Maybe a little child would say yes because everything is beautiful to the child knowing nothing of it's evils. But for one who knows very well about this and has even faced the harshness of life, no way! I'd rather want to see and enjoy that promised better world if another will agree to be sacrificed, not me lol.
Let's face the truth, Jesus Christ the Son of God, the Creator of the world died for it. We even read that not everyone in the world accepted his death at that time not to talk about now that people have forgotten and are living like they own the world to themselves. I won't say Christ's death was in vain because there are still people who are living while appreciating his death.
So imagine a human dying for a world that a Super Being once died for. Oh no! It's definitely going to be a waste of sacrifice and I'm no sacrificial lamb for such. When it's not Mars or Venus? Earth is so not qualified to be cleansed by just one sacrifice π€£
I was discussing the prompt with my friends on discord and I mentioned something that I think is another reason I can't be used as a sacrifice for the world. I can't sacrifice myself for myself, ordinary fasting to get my system in good condition or pray for prayers answers, I find it hard to do. How would such a one be able to lay down her life for people she doesn't know? (Hey don't bring my family into this! I won't know them too) π
A world without problems is Paradise or Heaven, that God has promised us. If this world we live in should have no problems like poverty, sickness or sufferings, we are not humans but angels living in paradise... That's like impossible except God decides to come take His people to live in one. So why should I be sacrificed for such a world when there is already one promised without human blood sacrifice?
I don't even want to rant about the fact that the world will forget the sacrifice that was made for it to become better if it really happens after. They will only be grateful for a few moments or at most a year and maybe build a statue of me somewhere nice like someone said in our discussion but for me, all that isn't worth it, I'd rather not.
So with these few reasons of mine, I am an unwilling sacrifice and would rather want to see a better world that wasn't born from the blood of a mere human like me but from the goodness of hearts in mankind. Is that possible? I don't know but being a sacrifice for the world doesn't guarantee it to become better either.
Will you be sacrificed for the world? As for me, I'm no sacrificial lamb.
