We all work through out the year so to give rest vacations are very essential, they are stress busters which give the new energy to the mind and body. No doubt they increase the work efficiency also. December the last month of the year is resting time for most of the people. The Christmas celebration along with New Year Celebration are the most attraction of December. Here in India the December means its start of the peak winter and mostly schools declarer the winter holidays for a week time i.e. the end of the month. The schools re-opened on 1st and all students come back with their holiday memories. I remember we use wait for those holidays as this was the time when we also get time to meet cousins and have fun all together. Sitting in the open area and enjoy the Sun light (if it comes out) was also the part of plan.
Now I am working profession sand we do not get the holidays in December, yes it is single day holiday on 25th December on occasion of Christmas, otherwise most of the time we are working. My kid @gurseerat which is school going will get the week time holidays as we get in our schooling time. I do not have any special plan this year as compare to last year when we went to Mumbai for new year celebration with our friends and I also took rest from the work for almost a week time. Due to some personal reasons we do not able to plan any vacation this year and my brother will visit in coming year along with his family. I am sure this will be going to be more fun and family get together and my kid is eagerly waiting for the day when she will meet her cousins. Although we do not have any specific plan but will join the year end party organized by our officer club. This is the time when we all office collages find the time to have fun and forget the office talk that we usually do in office. One of my friend who live abroad also in India now days so I will invite him also for the party and hopefully he will join if he do not have any other plans. He was here two year back also in the month of December and he joined us on my invitation that time. I always try to skip the first portion of part as its mostly contain the boring speech and I do not like the same so better to avoid in such situation. I like most the ending part of the part which is mostly dancing, and welcome the new year with dance and fun.
In India we celebrate many festivals and every month we have one or two day of celebration. Most of the festivals are agriculture related and some has religious aspects, so mostly we get holiday every month. officially we do not get any long holidays and its not easy to get the long personal leave also, one has to inform well before the time and also has to take the permission for the higher authorities or bosses. On one side the work pressure make it difficult to take the leave and other side we want to take leave to give relaxation to body and mind form excess work pressure. The kids age is one which enjoy the holidays, so I will spend more time with my kid during her holiday form school if the time permits. Hopefully Gurdeerat's cousins will also visit in the last week of month when they will get the holidays form the school. My kids has her own plan for them, she already assembled a tent house to play with them and hope all will like the same. She also plan to purchase one for her as a gift for her birthday, which is also in last week of December. Mostly they will be here with us at that time.
