Hello guys my name is Favour Teingi and I'm 21 years old. I'm from Bayelsa state in Nigeria which most of you might be familiar with. I had always wanted to be a part of hive and It is a great pleasure to be a part of this awesome family.
I was born and raised in bayelsa, yenagoa to be precise. I have never travelled out of my state for more than a week and I would love to explore the other ends of the world that God has created. my favourite colour is blue and my favourite meal is rice and chicken stew, and yes I can make it very well.
I'm currently pursuing a Bsc degree in Biochemistry at University of Africa, Toruorua (UAT) in Nigeria. Although biochemistry was not my first choice, I have come to love the course more than I had expected to. Being a student at UAT has inspired me in more ways than I could imagine, even though I have never travelled, I have come to learn about more cultures and different ways of life that is different from what I had grown up knowing with the help of my friends who are from different parts of the country. The most culture shock I received so far as a student was that my tribe (epie) seemed to be foreign to most of the students. I didn't realize Nigerians had so many accents until I got to school.
My hobbies are singing, cooking, baking and writing. Cooking had come naturally to me ( mostly because I'm the first daughter in my household), while baking on the other hand was just something I had gained interest in because of the baking shows I had watched while growing up. Singing is a hobby I had to work hard and develop. My vocals were very raspy and my voice didn't seem to be audible, but with hardwork, dedication and lots of YouTube videos, I began to find my voice. I was discouraged in the beginning about working on my voice but I didn't give up and I still pushed forward, I went as far as joining the choir in my local church and now I can say my voice sounds better than what it was. I don't know who needs to hear this but whatever you're doing right now, as long as you know that you love it and you want it, keep doing it no matter what any person has to say. No one will remember your struggles when you show them result.
My purpose for joining hive was so I can put to work my love for writing and content creating as well as to explore and add value to the masses.
I got to know about hive through a good relative of mine @meyateingi My utmost gratitude goes to @meyateingi for making my coming to hive a reality today. I also want to appreciate those who read my post, I assure you all more creative and inspiring content as time goes.
