Going even higher than anyone can imagine is what I desire for myself when it comes to Education. Once bitten twice shy. This is the slogan I love using when it comes to Education. I grew up to see everyone in my family not Educated. Then I made myself a promise that I was going to collect everyone's certificate. Hahaha 😂😂. Is that even possible? I don't know but I want to try.
WHAT IS MY HIGHEST LEVEL IN EDUCATION?
Questions like this do scare me before now. Before I went back to school I do feel very bad when someone dears to ask me my level of education. I guess is because I don't want people to think low of me. Hahaha 😂. But today the difference is very clear.
My God's grace I have worked a little and still working when it comes to Education. Currently I am a student teacher and it will last for four months. I went back to school in the year 2013. It was a very big struggle for me at that moment. But because of my decision to take back what rightfully belongs to me I decided to venture into the impossible. Of course schooling is not impossible but the circumstances surrounding my own was what made it impossible. Thanks to God who made the impossible possible. At first almost everyone around me told me that I was just wasting my time. In their words they said " just allow your children to go to school" But I remember telling one woman that my children have their destiny to fulfill and I do have my own destiny to fulfill. This is how I reason. Not the way others may reason. And this is what has kept me moving.
The highest certificate with me now is that of the NCE. That result was what I acquired from The Nasarawa state College of Education Akwanga, Nasarawa state. That result came in the 2020. I graduated in the year 2019, but it took a little time before the result was released. And since then I have not regreted having that certificate because it has fetched me money. When I hear some people say that going to school is a scam I just laughed because my going to school has elevated my lifestyle. People now recognize me when we go out for anything like occasion or even meetings. At least the treat me with small respect. Hahaha 😂. Abeg school is not a scam. I know that it is not easy to get job especially in Nigeria, but you can do alot of things on your own when you are educated.
MY FIELD
in NCE I studied English language with combination of Igbo language and my TLC two. Now in university I am studying Language Art Education. Because I started with Education I will have to include Education as I move further though is not compulsory, but I decided to go with it. So, as a language arts students I can be called an English teacher. I can also teach literature. My area specifically is English language.
HOW IT WILL HELP ME IN LIFE.
Well I decided to go for it because I love writing books. And it has also help me in terms of grammar. At least I know some of the does and don't of English language because that is the language I will be using to write my books. I have written and published my first book, also my second book is ready to be published. I only need a little time to gather money for the work.
WOULD IT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE IF I CHOSE NOT TO STUDY LANGUAGE ART?
I believe that it would have affected me so much. For me to study Language Art Education it has helped to shape me, especially for someone who left school since and coming back now I have forgotten lots of things but because of my area of study I have been able to balance at least some gaps that was there before now.
I'm so so glad that God made a way for me to go back to school. I love schooling and I just got started. I told someone that I will so study that lecturers will ask me to go and rest. And don't also forget that I really want to try to collect back all the certificate that belongs to everyone in my family that didn't make it to school. I hope it doesn't sound wired? Education means life to me. It gives me all the vibes that I can ask for and that is why I must keep moving no matter what.
