Moving from 2023 into 2024 was an exciting thing for me because I have long expected it to come. To me it seems as if it took longer time than expected, but at last we are here.
THE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION
When the D day arrived I was fully ready to welcome it because I was already tired of the old one that just passed. The preparation started from the eve of January. On the 31th of December I waited patiently to see how the old year will end and how I was going to match majestically into the new year 🎉 which brings us to a new season and time.
I had joy in me as a mother because this celebration brought all my children together and we are all together when we crossed over to the new year. We started it with prayers. You know we can't do without that and we stayed awake all through till 12 midnight. Once it was 12 am, we all began to dance and sing for joy because we are counted worthy to see the new year. After that we went to sleep but it was almost morning then.
We still woke up and went to church service for the new year, but I could not go because in celebration like this thieves usually see it as an opportunity to enter our house and do away with our properties. This time around I was wiser and decided to stay back to watch the house.
The things that I enjoyed most is the case of being together with my family and loved ones.
WHAT IS WISHED I HAD TO CHANGE SOMETHINGS DURING THE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION.
I was there was enough money to visit people and give them a little money to celebrate with their families. You know that sometimes you will be crying that you don't have yet there are some people who have nothing at all to eat from morning till night. It will not be bad if I had a little money to go to their houses and celebrate with them.
My celebration would have been complete if yhe less privileged received some gifts from me to make their new year sweet too. But no withstanding I have plans for another year. If God permits us to be alive by next year celebration for the new year I will do more than I am thinking of now.
