TRAVELING IS PART OF EDUCATION. MY BEST JOURNEY FOR THE YEAR

Traveling is such a great thing that I will love to do it again and again and again. I don't really know why I love going out to experience other places and learn new things. By the way, it is said that traveling is part of education. This is actually true because going out to other places different from your home or where you are use to will help you see new things, meet new people, buy new things, learn new things and equally eat new food. When all of these is going on, you have learned alot already. For me it gives me reall joy to travel out. I don't mind if there is any job that has to do with people traveling, I will gladly take that job. This is how much I love traveling.

MY TRAVELING EXPERIENCE THIS 2024.
I had a very great traveling experience this year that makes me very happy each time that I remember it. Since ending last year we were told in school that we will be going for educational visit to our mother campus. Ever since I started schooling in the branch of ABU here in Akwanga I have been wishing that I will have the opportunity to go visit the main campus because I have heard alot of good things about the school and I prayed for so long to pay them a visit and see things for myself.

When we got to this year 2024, I started saying to some of my course mates that I will not go for the educational visit because I don't have the money to pay for the journey. At that time I had already settled in my mind that I wasn't going. Later we heard that the school management said that it is compulsory for every students in 400 level to participate in the journey. Failure to do so you will have to carry over till next year before you will graduate. Ahhh! Me that don't like to hear any thing cary over in my life. I had to go and look for money and pay for the journey so that I will not have to stay for another year after my mates have graduated. When I did that I wasn't happy because there was no money, but after we had gone and come back I really thank God that I did because I gained more than what I paid for.

I had so much fun that I wish we stayed back for some days before coming back. First when we came to the school we were taken to our HOD. each department went to see theirs and when we went to the department of arts and social sciences I used that opportunity to ask all the questions that I have been having in mind concerning the department and the school entirely. And all the explanations that I got from the HOD settled all the issues that I have been having ever since I started the school.

Another special thing also is the moment we were taken to Kashim library which happen to be the biggest in West Africa. We almost got lost there if not for the lecturer taking us round. We learned that any text book that can not be found there is not in Africa. Though I have not carried out my research to know if it is true, but it is a beautiful place to behold.

We also went to see alot of art work and the students there are really doing their best. I saw some of their work and I said to myself, the lecturers who are coaching their students are also trying.

This is Kashim Ibrahim Library.

DO I HAVE ANY REGRET?
No. Not even a single regret. I know that to raise the money at that moment was not fun for me, but I thank God that I later paid and went with them. What I learnt there can't be compared to the money that I paid. The money is just too small and the knowledge gotten is too big to quantify.

This is when we were taken for sight seeing in the school dam.

In summary, traveling is good not just for students but for everyone who wants to make a difference in life. You can't give what you don't have. The more you travel, the more knowledge you acquire.

It's always relieving and educative indeed especially travelling to a city you've never been to before.
