Happy New Year 2025,
It has been a while since I share a contribution to the contest on the landscape.
I have been busy with life. It is with pleasure that I join once again to share my photo taken as I went to relax at the beach.
I was so happy to be free enough to return to this magic place where elements of nature produces such special stimulus to the body.
My stress level always start to drop when I am next to the wave and facing the horizon. It is a perception of vastest and proximity of the Ocean, the sky and the land that activate this recovery process on my body.
For my entry in the landscape photography contest, I would like to share photos of this exceptional moment on the landscape at the beach.
It is remarkable how fast the shape of the landscape changes near the ocean. The sand is permanently moved from a section of the beach to the other part of the coastline.
This powerful machinery under the control of natural phenomena has created beautiful landscape on side of the coast that I can't stay away too long before recording this modification on photos to share with you my friends.
You can see on the photo above how the water and the sand are mixed when the waves hit the ground. It is transferred on the sandbank a few meters ahead leaving behind a whole that won't stay empty for long.
The inclination of the land is steep on certain area compared to this area on the photo.
It will play an important role when the tide goes up during the next cycle. The gravity and the sand will return to the Ocean, leaving only flat solid sediment submerged by water.
It is a beautiful process that does not occur on every beach. The location and the position of man made infrastructure on the coastline can rapidly increase this landscape modification or completely remove these phenomena.
The city on the Ocean Side is position at a safe distance from the waves. If it becomes uncontrollable, there are measures that can be done to protect the road and the town.
