Bright, bold, and beautiful Seven Magic Mountains

Happy weekend, amazing people!

Today, let's go on a side trip to the oasis of colorful wonderland in the desert. I am talking about the Seven Magic Mountains in Las Vegas, Nevada. I thought of sharing photos of this amazing place because my daughter was looking for her color pens I bought the other month and I think she forgot where she kept them. But yeah, that made me think of writing a blog about the colorful Seven Magic Mountains.

It was last summer when my husband and I had to go on a weekend getaway that led us to the remarkable Seven Magic Mountains. Nestled in the Ivanpah Valley, at the far southern end of Las Vegas Boulevard, this captivating creation by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone left us in awe. We traveled roughly 45 minutes from the Las Vegas strip. Our road trip began with a quick stop along Las Vegas Boulevard as we made our way to Arizona. The convenience of having a car made it a breeze to reach this free-to-visit attraction. Little did we know, though, that this detour would be a highlight of our trip.

As we arrived at the said place, the vivid colors adorning the rocks caught our attention from afar. But it was when we stepped out of the car and walked closer that the true magic unfolded before our eyes. The structures towered higher than we had anticipated, instantly taking our breath away. It's a cool place for a quick sightseeing trip and it's completely free. We honestly stumbled upon it by complete accident, and I'm so happy that we did. I've seen pretty photos of it online, but it's really something that should be seen in person to fully appreciate it. You can walk right up to them and get a really close-up look. It was definitely a highlight of that day's getaway.

There's something about the Seven Magic Mountains that commands respect. It's not just art; it's a majestic presence that enhances the surrounding area. I really couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the opportunity to witness such beauty. The array of colors painted on the rocks filled us with immense joy. I was like a little kid, smiling all day and seeing each color and it seemed to dance in the desert, creating a spectacle that was both mesmerizing and uplifting. It's impossible not to be captivated by the vibrant display. While we missed the chance to witness the breathtaking sunrise, visiting during the midday still allowed us to appreciate its stunning allure. The contrast of the vivid colors against the backdrop of the desert landscape was a sight to behold. Our overall experience can be summed up in one word: fun. The easy drive from the Strip made it a convenient addition to our itinerary. Despite the briefness of our visit, the impact left a lasting impression.

In conclusion, our adventure at the Seven Magic Mountains was a delightful surprise. This vibrant oasis in the desert provided us with a unique and awe-inspiring experience. It's a must-see attraction for art enthusiasts and anyone seeking a moment of wonder amidst the desert landscape. I'm telling you, don't miss the chance to witness the colorful magic of the Seven Magic Mountains if you happen to visit Las Vegas. I am also happy to share these photos as my entry to @photofeed's Cityscape Photography Round 76.

Until our next city adventure, my friends. Happy weekend to you all.
