Greetings!
As funny as this may sound, I think it's weird for me whenever I hear things like "breakfast in bed," as we normally hear people do or see in movies. Don't people make mistakes while eating or drinking in bed and end up spilling it and staining the sheets?
People who do it must be very organized because, as for me, I'm very free on my bed and my legs don't stay in one place. They move and touch everywhere, and there's a possibility of forgetting I have a tray containing a cup of coffee on my bed. I know you what what I'm saying. Lol
How I take my coffee in the morning:
I usually have my coffee in the morning on my chair and table. My room isn't a standard one that has all the necessary furniture and items.
I have a wooden table and an office-like plastic chair attached to it which serves as my reading table and sometimes dining table as well.
Every morning, once out of bed, I'm usually seated at the table, and that's where I do my writing, with my phone connected to the FM antenna stationed there, which I listen to while sipping my cup of coffee and writing.
If you know FM very well, you'll understand that some channels don't work without an antenna(wire) being controlled to a particular direction
The positioning of the table is close to the window where I get to see what's happening on the street because our compound is not fenced and my window faces the street road. But in all this, I don't get seen; I'm the only one seeing outside.
So while seated there with my coffee, my radio on or music playing, and feeling the soft breeze penetrating through the net of the window, it feels so heavenly.
One thing I do every day is to try as much as possible to draft an article in the morning, maybe not publish it immediately. Whenever I'm seated at that spot with my cup of coffee, using a spoon to sip it little by little, I tend to have a quicker flow of writing. There's usually no writer's block at that moment; it's more like a morning ritual.
Maybe it could work for me in bed too, adopting this medium of sipping coffee and writing. But hell no, my bed is meant for lying down, and I can't sip coffee while my head is laid horizontally.
I could sacrifice just a moment on my bed and sit on it instead of lying down, right?
The truth is, I don't rush my coffee; I take it slowly, writing and enjoying music, mostly FM on my radio. Sitting on the bed for about 40 minutes or 1hr to an hour is something I doubt I can do. Hey, I'm definitely going to lose it by forgetting I have a cup of coffee on my bed, and in the end, I'm going to get everything messy. You can't blame me; I'm not coordinated or cultured that way.
Thanks for reading.
