A loving greeting to all my Hive friends, especially coffee lovers. This is my first post of the year 2025 and I am pleased that it is in this beautiful community, celebrated with a nice cup of coffee. Today my dear @aly.squid and I went in search of our first coffee of the year. We knew there wouldn't be many places open, since culturally this day is always given free to the workers of all the locals in the city. But we wanted to have our first coffee of the year at all costs.

As you know, there are no coffee shops in my community. Last year I published a couple of posts about a new place called Capuccino Celestial. But unfortunately it failed and they closed it down in less than a year. So we had to travel all the way to the city for a nice coffee. After a lot of searching, the only thing we got open was McDonald's. A few years ago, there was a McDonald's coffee shop in the city, it was spectacular in terms of the variety of coffee based products it offered, but with the crisis in Venezuela many products became scarce and it could not continue. So now they offer a delicious coffee, simple but delicious.

We wanted something more creative, but we weren't complaining, because the truth is, it was delicious. This coffee at McDonald's was the first one we had away from home in the new year and I can say with certainty that I enjoyed it a lot. It reminded me of the importance of taking the time to enjoy the little things and living in the present moment, but always with a cup of coffee in hand.

I hope this new year will bring us many new experiences related to coffee. I have many things in mind, places to visit, coffee shops, crops; I hope to realize all this and be able to share it with you. A hug with the aroma of coffee to all of you. Spend soon.
