Loving greetings to all my Hive friends, especially coffee lovers. Today I join the great STB initiative. All my life I have seen in movies and romance novels couples enjoying a cup of coffee in bed, as if it were the perfect setting to start the day. However, I have a confession that may surprise many: I don't like to drink my coffee in bed.

For me, as I have said on many occasions, it is very important the "ritual" character in many things in my life. Coffee is one of them. The beautiful ritual of making a cup of coffee in the morning goes beyond simply savoring the hot beverage. It is an opportunity to wake up slowly, to enjoy the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, and to start the day calmly. And for me, the best way to do that is in the kitchen, where the act of brewing coffee helps me wake up gradually.

Besides, the kitchen is a special place for me. It's where I usually spend most of my time when I'm at home, where I cook my meals, where I share moments with my beloved @aly.squid and my friends. So, enjoying my coffee in the kitchen allows me to connect with those moments of happiness and warmth that I have experienced in that space.

Another reason I don't like to enjoy coffee in bed is because I don't really like to bring anything to do with food into my room. I'm not the type of person who likes to have food brought to bed or enjoy a snack while watching a movie. And the reason for this is that I am tremendously sensitive to smells. If I eat something in the bedroom the smell of food is going to haunt me all night long probably, especially now that I have air conditioning. So for me it's very important to mark that relationship with spaces, so the bed is not an appropriate space to eat or drink.

I also respect those who have the flexibility to drink their coffee in bed. In my case, I prefer to drink my coffee in the kitchen, where I can enjoy every sip, savoring every moment and preparing myself to face the day with energy and tranquility. And for me, there is no better place to do it than in that space full of memories and emotions that is my kitchen.
