The star of the show - BREWED COFFEE!
Hello there, my coffee-loving friends! I've got another coffee tale to tell, y'all!
My husband and I recently had breakfast at Monaliza Surf Resort Cafe, conveniently located in my town here in Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union—just a stone's throw away from our house. After an exciting day watching the World Surf League (about which I previously wrote a blog), we were in search of a satisfying meal and good coffee, and we were not disappointed.
Monaliza Surf Resort Cafe is a gem tucked away by the beach. They offer a selection of international dishes, each coming with a complimentary cup of their freshly brewed coffee. My husband decided on the American breakfast—a classic combo of bacon, toast, and egg. I went for the Filipino breakfast, a filling plate of beef tapa, fried rice, and eggs. Sorry, I forgot to take photos; I was too hungry to grab my phone. Both dishes were delicious, by the way, and the coffee was a delightful bonus. It's not every day that you get to enjoy a good meal with a hot cup of coffee, all while taking in the view of the beach right in front of you.
The cafe's location is a big plus. It's right on the beachfront where the event was held, offering diners and tourists a fantastic view while they enjoy their meal. The cafe is also adorned with beautiful paintings, including one of the iconic Philippine Jeepney, as well as paintings of waves, surfers, and everything about surfing. The ambiance is vibrant and full of charm.
One of the highlights is the neat and simple bar, where fresh coconuts are displayed. It adds a touch of tropical beauty to the place. As for me, I love fresh coconuts, but in the morning, I can't resist a cup of coffee to kick-start my day. Have you ever tried combining coffee and coconut? I think it would be a delightful twist that I might enjoy. What do you think?
In summary, Monaliza Surf Resort and Cafe delivers on all fronts: tasty food, affordable prices, a great location, and deliciously brewed coffee. It was a wonderful experience and we're already looking forward to our next visit!
Cheers!
