Four reasons I believe people create contents are to entertain, to inspire, to educate and to convince. Going digital with your contents simply means increasing your audience virtually or sharing it online for people to see. The major purpose of creating contents and making them digital, is to not keep knowledge to oneself but share with others who care to know.
I remember my first time signing up to own a blog I have to share contents for people to read, I went from having no audience to having a few but I can still remember how nervous and unsure I was about the kind of contents I would share. I kept asking myself countless questions with some like...
What can I write without facing difficulties?
Would anyone want to read my contents? There are so many other contents.
Is it possible to write something similar and still make impact on my audience?
My answer to these questions was, "Let's keep it real, stay original" and more than I expected, I got to understand my audience better with contents as such. I read somewhere that "The best kind of contents are the ones about experience" and I agree with this thought especially from my experience as a blogger.
I may not have had all kinds of experiences but to one or more audience, an experience I shared is a lesson or a new knowledge to them. And I can say same for contents I come across when it's about experience. If a content is without experience, it's difficult to tag it an impactful one but there are exceptions.
With the growing world of digital content creations, staying original to make an impact never gets too old as a strategy. Some creators have lost aim of what their contents should do to their audience, even I have been through that phase but it is expected especially with setbacks that could come with creating contents like Writer's block, no audience or support, and even offline setbacks.
Making an impact with one's content isn't something easy to do but it gets easier when you know your audience, learn to better your content creation skills and explore new ways to present these skills to your audience. I was surprised to see an animated write up video where every message was passed through beautiful writings, it was impactful.
Usually, I'll think a non animated video would be impactful and not those kinds but then, it all goes down to the message, the style and efforts from the creator to make an impact with his or her content. How I make positive impact with my contents is full of challenges but whenever I succeed, I'm encouraged to do even better.
Stay original, try to increase my scope to not remain stagnant as a creator and building an audience that are there for my contents because they find them impactful or meaningful.
