One thing that can put a stop to all you do online or with any of you digital device is, lack of electricity. But when you have that available, something else could give you a pause and it is when you experience faulty devices. It's not a problem that most of our devices rely on electricity to function but it seem to be a problem in my part of the world.
It's either there's no electricity at all or you get a low power outage and risk having a faulty device or you buy devices at a good rate but it ends up to be just another wrong buy.
Of course, there is the positive stories, I've had devices that lasted way longer than I expected but then, this post is about the ones that got bad within a very short period of time causing me losses.

One of the life savers for my devices logging me off the online world is my power bank, I could forget taking along any other thing when I want to go out but never my small power bank if my device is low in battery. I can't remember anytime I've been offline for too long that I didn't plan for, that's because I've learned over time that devices aren't to be trusted so much.
Owning a power bank and being extra careful with your devices when you charge them is important to avoid getting logged off. The reason for this post is as a result of what happened to me today. I got threatened to be logged out of my device when my charger went bad all of a sudden.
Everything was fine when I took my devices and their chargers to get them powered up until I get back from work (teaching job) only for me to get back and found out the electricity Generator got bad and my favourite charger (the best among them) stopped working alongside too.
I was heartbroken and the only thing I could think of is getting a new charger. With the rate at which items are so expensive, I wasn't surprised to get the charger at almost double the price I got the last one.
The fear of logging out of the online world even for a minute without my consent didn't let me over think not getting a good charger. There's no guarantee the charger I got will last longer but it's better than none.
A friend of mine just got his extension (a device to plug many chargers) back from a repairer. Before that, it was from one excuse to another in getting it repaired. I can only imagine how annoying it would have been if he had no alternative for his devices to get charged. This friend of mine is a social media manager to different organizations, you can bet he is at a huge loss if his devices should stop working unexpectedly.
It's not something I can get used to, my devices getting faulty and I'll stay relaxed about it. I've learnt to get new ones or have the faulty ones repaired to avoid the unexpected or maybe it's expected.
Imagine being logged out at a crucial time, it had happened to me once and since then, I've been more attentive to my devices in order to not fall into such situation again. Now, I decide when I get logged out and not unexpectedly to avoid stories that touches the heart (stories of loss) lol.
What about you? What's your experience with faulty devices and your digital life?
