FungiFriday ~ log 🪵 with some beautiful mushrooms 🍄‍🟫

Hi all 👋🏻 😊

Last Sunday, on a hike in a forest up a mountain, not far from here I found this long #weathered log 🪵 laying between some purple #heather #fields 💜and rocks on a beautiful sunny ☀️ day. On it were a few mushrooms, which I want to share with you today.

The 8 photos are taken with my phone 😎 on 10 August 2024.

Let’s have a closer look :

The mushrooms grew out of the area where the tree was decaying the most. Some mosses have grown around them too.

Close up of the most left ones. 🍄‍🟫🍄‍🟫 Standing tall next to each other. Very cute. The sun and the bright blue sky makes this my favourite photo. A beautiful combination of brown, orange, green and blue colours 🎨

Another capture, do you see the #forest #ant 🐜?

This cute group was on the right side when I was standing next to the log 🪵 the wood was very soft there and the ants had a nest in that area.

Beautiful small mushrooms 🍄‍🟫

A photograph from above on the end of the log. Showing you the distance between the groups of mushrooms better. 😊

This last capture shows the entire length of the log 🪵 lying on the forest floor, the heather is not that bright purple here (yet).
